What did we manageto do last year?
We are 75 and 77 years old, and life is not easy for us at all. My husband lives without a leg, and the road to the shop is difficult and exhausting, especially because it is far away. Even when we could get there, we realize we do not have enough money—we always have to choose between food and medicine.
When we received the food box through the 1 Leu a Day project, we felt supported and understood. We felt that we were not alone and that God is taking care of us through good people. For us, this help meant more than a box of food—it meant hope and peace.
Winter has always been hard for us, with cold and shortages. When the children received new boots, their joy cannot be put into words. They put them on immediately and did not want to take them off.
For us, as parents, it was a great relief to know they go to school with warm feet, protected from the snow.
